Orla Broderick was born and raised in Ireland. Her first published article was in The Irish Times when she was sixteen. She won The Hot Press short story competition in 1996. She has been supported by HI-Arts. She has had short stories published in Chroma and PenPusher. She read her own work on BBC radio.
